Carlo Ancelotti: Neymar Ready to Play Full 90 Minutes

Brazil national team coach Carlo Ancelotti has shared his thoughts on the physical and mental readiness of team forward Neymar ahead of their World Cup round of 16 match against Norway. Since the start of the World Cup, the star forward has played a total of 14 minutes, coming on as a substitute in just one of the four games.

“Yes, he can play the full 90 minutes,” Ancelotti is quoted as saying by Folha de S.Paulo. “He's not happy with the situation, but he's behaving very professionally and working hard in training. Neymar is a respectful and kind person who is well-liked by those around him, and he has an important role in the team: a high level of skill, but also very humble. I'm very pleased with him. Of course, Neymar wants to play like he always does.”

As you may know, the World Cup is currently being held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. In the round of 16, Carlo Ancelotti's team narrowly defeated Japan 2:1.
