This victory gave the reigning champions a ticket to the quarterfinals and the 2026 U-17 World Cup in Qatar, scheduled for November.

The starting lineup for Uzbekistan included Olimjon Shomurodov, Muhammad Hakimov, Amirkhon Erkinov, Islom Ravshonov, Suhrab Sadirjonov, Mirjamol Anvarov, Muhammadodilxon Orifxonov, Adis Abdunabiyev, Laziz Abduraimov, Abubakir Rahimov, and Muhammad Mamатов.

In the 32nd minute, Laziz Abduraimov scored a penalty, opening the score after a foul by Indian goalkeeper Rajrup Sarkar.

In the second half, Uzbekistan solidified their lead: in the 60th minute, an Indian defender, Denny Singh, scored an own goal after a corner kick.

Ahrorbek Ravshanbekov put the final point in the 78th minute, successfully completing the attack.

After North Korea withdrew from the tournament, only three teams - Uzbekistan, Australia, and India - remained in Group D.

According to the Asian Football Confederation, Uzbekistan's victory also gave Australia an early ticket to the next round.

Now, these teams will face each other on May 13th at 21:00, and the winner of this match will be determined as the winner of Group D.

In the first round of the group stage, Uzbekistan drew 1-1 with Australia, while India lost 0-4 to Australia.

Recall that last April, the Uzbekistan U-17 team defeated Saudi Arabia 2-0, winning the Asian Cup and securing a spot in the U-17 World Cup.
