Tashkent to Host 2027 World Para Athletics Championships
Tashkent has been officially confirmed as the host city for the 2027 World Para Athletics Championships, a first for Uzbekistan and Central Asia.

Tashkent has been officially confirmed as the host city for the 2027 World Para Athletics Championships, a first for Uzbekistan and Central Asia.
The championships will take place in June 2027 at the Olympic Stadium in the capital's Olympic Village.
The Tashkent 2027 event will be the 13th edition of the World Para Athletics Championships and the fifth to be held in Asia, following previous hosts Doha (2015), Dubai (2019), Kobe (2024), and New Delhi (2025).

Over 1,300 athletes from more than 100 countries are expected to participate, making it the largest international para sports event in Central Asia's history. The competition program will be shaped in accordance with the Paralympic Games program.
