Manchester United and Uruguay midfielder Manuel Ugarte suffered a serious injury during the group stage of the World Cup against Ecuador. The 25-year-old player left the field on a stretcher.
According to Physio Scout, the player's issue is related to a knee and muscle injury. Additionally, doctors have noted a contraction of the quadriceps muscles, which is common in such injuries.
Experts believe that it may take almost a year for him to fully recover from this type of injury.
Ugarte joined Manchester United from Paris Saint-Germain in 2024. Last season, he played 24 games in the English Premier League. Uruguay, however, was eliminated from the World Cup in the group stage and left the tournament early.
