The latest FIFA rankings have been released following the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup. Uzbekistan's national team has dropped 10 places to 60th, with 1409.73 points under the guidance of Fabio Cannavaro.

The Uzbekistan national team lost 23.11 points in the latest update. There are reasons for this. Fabio Cannavaro's team gave their opponents opportunities in friendly matches against Canada and the Netherlands before the World Cup.

The team's unsuccessful participation in the 2026 World Cup also contributed to the decline in rankings. The Uzbekistan national team lost all three official matches in the group stage of the World Cup, losing to Colombia (1:3), Portugal (0:5), and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (1:3), finishing the tournament without a win. The defeats in friendly matches against Canada and the Netherlands also had an impact on the rankings.

Among Asian teams, Japan maintained its lead with 17th place. Iran (22), Australia (28), and South Korea (32) followed. Uzbekistan ranks seventh in the continent with 60th place. Saudi Arabia (58) and Qatar (59) are above the Uzbek team, while Iraq (63), the UAE (68), and Jordan (73) are below.

Spain, the new world champion, added 30.27 points to its tally, taking the top spot in the FIFA rankings with 1995.88 points. Previous leader Argentina dropped to second, followed by France, England, and Brazil.
