Doan: 'Japan proved it can match Brazil and any team in the world'

Japan midfielder Ritsu Doan shared his thoughts after the team's 1-2 loss to Brazil in the World Cup round of 16

As a reminder, the Japanese conceded the decisive goal in the 95th minute and bid farewell to the tournament.

'We just lacked a bit of skill, that's all. But over those 90 minutes, we showed that Japanese football can compete on an equal footing with Brazil and any team in the world.
