Ziyoviddin Khodzhiniyazov Elected as First Vice-President of International Kurash Association
The International Kurash Association held its latest meeting, discussing key areas and future plans, including the election of Ziyoviddin Khodzhiniyazov as first vice-president.

The International Kurash Association (IKA) held its latest meeting, where about ten issues were discussed, including the organization's key activities and future plans.
Among the topics, the membership of the Kurash federations of Switzerland, Italy, and Sri Lanka was discussed. The final decision on this matter will be made during the IKA Congress, which will be held in Kazakhstan as part of the World Championship.
Additionally, the organization of continental championships and the inclusion of Kurash competitions in the program of the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) were also key points of discussion. These initiatives are significant as they aim to expand the scope of Kurash and develop it as an inclusive sport.
The meeting was chaired by IKA President Haydar Farmon, who highlighted the organizational issues. He noted that the resignation of Jagdish Tatlerning, a long-time Indian state and public figure who served as the first vice-president of the organization, was accepted by the Board of Directors.
Ziyoviddin Khodzhiniyazov, who has been serving as IKA Vice-President for International Cooperation and Games, was unanimously elected as the new first vice-president.
Ziyoviddin Khodzhiniyazov is one of the most experienced and respected specialists in the field of Kurash, with a long history of working in various responsible positions within the International Kurash Association, including Director of the International Relations Department, Deputy Secretary-General, and Secretary-General of the Asian Kurash Confederation.
Under his direct involvement and organizational leadership, more than 100 prestigious international tournaments, continental and world championships, as well as competitions within the Asian Games, have been successfully organized.
This appointment is an important step towards further systematic development of Kurash on the international stage, increasing its influence, and bringing it to a new level.
