Watford Appoint Edward Still as New Manager

Watford have appointed Edward Still as their new manager on a two-and-a-half-year contract. The 35-year-old previously worked as an assistant coach at Anderlecht.

This appointment comes after Javi Gracia's departure, following just three months in charge. Still has promised to bring a strong and aggressive playing style to Vicarage Road.

Watford chairman and CEO Scott Duxbury discussed Still's appointment, highlighting that his modern and progressive coaching methods align with the team's dynamics.

Still has previously managed Charleroi, KAS Eupen, and KV Kortrijk in the Belgian Pro League. He also worked at French club Lens alongside his brother, Will Still.

Watford defender Charlie Daniels will continue to work in Still's coaching staff as first-team coach.

The appointment has been seen as a 'left-field' move, given Still's lack of British or Championship experience.
