Tuchel Criticizes FIFA for Overturning Balogun's Disqualification

England manager Thomas Tuchel has expressed skepticism over FIFA's decision to overturn Folarin Balogun's disqualification. He believes that allowing the US striker to play in the 2026 World Cup round of 16 match against Belgium was a mistake by the organization.

'I have one question: where does it start and where does it end? Can we now also overturn Jarrell Quansah's red card or not? Where is the line drawn - that's the main issue. And I don't have an answer to that question,' Tuchel said, as quoted by BBC Sport.

As a reminder, Folarin Balogun received a red card in the US - Bosnia match in the round of 16 and, according to the rules, should have missed the match against Belgium in the round of 16. However, FIFA granted him an administrative pardon and postponed the disqualification for the red card for a year.

England defender Jarrell Quansah, on the other hand, was sent off in the match against Mexico. In the quarterfinals, Thomas Tuchel's team will face Norway.
