Tottenham Captain Set to Join Inter

English Premier League club Tottenham captain Cristian Romero has agreed to join Italian champions Inter.

Romero had signed a new contract with Tottenham just last summer and was appointed team captain. However, after another disappointing season, the Argentine defender has decided to change clubs.

According to journalist Sebastián Vidal, Inter have already obtained Romero's agreement and are now in talks with Tottenham over the transfer terms.

The Milan club plans to loan the 28-year-old Argentine national team defender for the 2026/2027 season, with an expected obligation to buy him for 40 million euros (£34.2 million) later.
