Bernardo Silva to Join Barcelona Next Season

According to reports, 31-year-old midfielder Bernardo Silva, whose contract with Manchester City is about to expire, has agreed to join Barcelona from next season.

The transfer is nearing completion but has not been fully formalized yet, with the club having reached an agreement with the player.

Sports director Deco and club president Joan Laporta want to see Silva in the team, and despite interest from other European clubs, the player has chosen the offer from the Catalans.

Bernardo Silva had also received offers from Atletico Madrid, Benfica, as well as clubs from Turkey, France, Italy, and Saudi Arabia.

However, the deal still needs to be approved by Barcelona head coach Hans-Dieter Flick, with the transfer only going ahead with his consent.

Bernardo Silva's contract with Manchester City expires on June 30, and he has been playing for the Citizens since 2017.

This season, the Portuguese player has made 53 appearances in all competitions, scoring 3 goals and providing 5 assists.
