Manchester City have completed their first summer signing, with the club agreeing a deal for Troyes striker Matias Detourbe. The Citizens have agreed to pay €15 million for the transfer.
Sports director Ugo Viana is continuing to revamp the squad, with a focus on bringing in promising young players.
This season, the 18-year-old striker has made eight goal contributions in Ligue 2 games.
Since being appointed as sports director in July 2025, replacing Chiki Begiristain, Ugo Viana has been working on a major overhaul of the team.
His tenure began with significant transfers, including the signing of Janluigi Donnarumma, as well as the acquisitions of Mark Guehi and Antoine Semenyo in January 2026.

Additionally, as part of the squad revamp, it is expected that Bernard Silva and Jon Stones will leave the club in the summer, making way for young players.

There are also likely to be more significant transfers in the summer, with a right-back and a midfielder potentially on the radar. Elliot Anderson is one name being mentioned in this context.

Meanwhile, young talent remains a priority for the club.
