Karlsen Wins Chess.com Speed Chess Championship, Nakamura Falls

Norwegian chess grandmaster Magnus Karlsen has won the chess.com Speed Chess Championship for the fourth time, defeating 22-year-old French prodigy Alireza Firouzja in the final with a score of 15-12.

Karlsen fought for three hours to secure the victory. The two players had previously faced each other in last year's tournament in Paris, where Karlsen dominated with a score of 23.5-7.5.

The format of the Speed Chess Championship consists of five-minute blitz for 90 minutes, three-minute blitz for 60 minutes, and one-minute bullet for 30 minutes, with an additional one-second increment per move for each segment.
