PSG's Champions League victory over Arsenal (1:1 after regular time, 4:3 in the penalty shootout) sparked widespread riots in France.
According to Interior Minister Lorán Núnes, 416 people were arrested, with 283 of them in Paris. Additionally, 7 police officers were injured in the clashes, one of them seriously.

To counter the unrest, 22,000 police officers and gendarmes were deployed, including 8,000 in the capital. The Paris police reported seizing 24 fires and hundreds of fireworks from the fans. During the riots, 6 cars, a bakery, and a restaurant in the Porte-de-Saint-Cloud area were damaged.
According to an AFP reporter, fans in the southern part of the city engaged in violent clashes, then attacked a fire truck.
"The problem is not with football, but with the celebration. Big victories are always accompanied by violence", commented Faben Boje, a representative of the Paris police union.
