In 1995-96, Castel di Sangro, a small Italian town, stunned the football world by rising from local amateur leagues to Serie B. This remarkable achievement remains etched in the club's history.
The club's former coach, Osvaldo Jaconi, still sends a WhatsApp message every morning at 6 am to a group chat named 'Serie B', where former players and staff exchange greetings.
Angelo Petrarca, the club's former masseuse, said: "Even 30 years later, everything feels the same. Everyone loves each other, and this love still exists".
