Midlesbrough have become the leaders of the Championship. They defeated Sheffield United 2-1, winning for the sixth consecutive game. Tommy Conway and Riley McGree scored goals in the first half to secure the win for their team.

Sheffield United's Patrick Bamford scored in the second half to give his team some hope, but Joe Rothwell's red card in the 80th minute ended their chances.

This victory puts Midlesbrough top of the Championship, two points clear of Coventry City.
