Marseille Face Europa Ban

French giants Marseille are at risk of being banned from European competitions in the 2026-2027 season, according to L'Equipe.

The club has reportedly accumulated losses of €157 million over the past three seasons.

Marseille had agreed with UEFA in 2022 to achieve financial balance in accordance with financial fair play rules, with the understanding that the maximum loss over three seasons would not exceed €60 million.

It is reported that UEFA will review Marseille's case this week.

Marseille finished the French championship in fifth place with 59 points, which would have earned them a spot in the UEFA Europa League.
