Luka Modric has extended his contract with Milan until June 30, 2027, agreeing to stay with the club for another season.

Luka Modric, the 40-year-old midfielder, has agreed to stay with Milan for another season. The new contract with the club is set to expire on June 30, 2027. Modric, one of the captains of the Croatian national team, has been a key figure in Milan's midfield since joining the team.
Milan's official statement reads: "We are delighted to announce that we have signed a new contract with Luka Modric. From his first days with the team, Modric has become a central figure in our midfield, consistently showcasing his vast experience and exceptional skill both on and off the pitch, demonstrating his humility and dedication to the team. As one of the strongest and most iconic players in world football, the Croatian will continue his career with Milan. Last season, he played 37 games for the club, scoring 2 goals, and is striving to achieve new, important milestones with the team. Luka Modric will continue to play for Milan under the number 14 jersey," the Italian club's official statement said.

Recall that Luka Modric joined Milan a year ago, leaving Real Madrid as a free agent.
