Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has announced that he will be taking a temporary break from the Belgian national team.
According to reports, the 34-year-old goalkeeper plans to skip the national team during the Nations League period.
'We'll see. I probably won't participate in the Nations League, as it's not the most important tournament.
Maybe I'll return for the Euro 2028 qualifying phase. But the final decision is up to the federation.
'Today's match [the World Cup 2026 quarterfinal against Spain] could possibly be my last match for the national team,' Courtois emphasized.
