Loss for Spanish National Team

Spanish national team's attacking midfielder Fermin Lopez has undergone surgery.

The 23-year-old Fermin will need at least two months to recover and will not be able to help the Spanish national team in the World Cup. The player's return to the field will be announced later, depending on the post-operative recovery process.

In the 2025/2026 season, Lopez played 48 official games for the 'blue-and-orange', scoring 13 goals and making 17 assists. Transfermarkt estimates his market value at 100 million euros.
