Infantino Attends UEFA Congress: Russia, Trump, and Future Plans

FIFA President Gianni Infantino is attending the UEFA Congress, with his speech being closely watched as it covers Russia's national team's return, the United States hosting the World Cup, and future football plans.

Infantino once again raised the issue of Russia's national team's return. He said: 'The ban should be reconsidered not only for the senior team but also for the youth teams.' However, the UEFA Executive Committee does not intend to seriously discuss this issue.

The United States hosting the World Cup is also being discussed. Some UEFA leaders have expressed concerns over the ties between Donald Trump and Infantino.

UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin also raised some issues in his speech. He said: 'We will highlight the success of the Women's European Championship and discuss the new format of the Men's Champions League.'

UEFA leaders are also discussing changing the Champions League format from 2030 and expanding the Club World Cup.
