British pair Fear and Gibson fall in free dance to finish seventh. French duo Fournier Beaudry and Cizeron win gold.

Lewis Gibson tried to muster a smile, but Lilah Fear's pained expression told the story. The Team GB pair had dreamed of becoming Britain's first Olympic ice dance medallists since Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, but they endured a nightmare on the ice when it mattered most.
The gold medal was won by the French pair Laurence Fournier Beaudry and Guillaume Cizeron with 225.82 points. The US duo Madison Chock and Evan Bates, three-time world champions, took silver with 224.39 points. The Canadian pair Paul Poirier and Piper Gilles won bronze with 217.73 points.
