Mercedes has demonstrated its strength ahead of the 2026 F1 season, topping the timesheets on the final day of a three-day test in Bahrain. 19-year-old Andrea Kimi Antonelli set a best time of 1:33.669 to lead a Mercedes 1-2.
Antonelli took over the W17 car from teammate George Russell in the middle session and edged him by 0.249 seconds. Russell had set the fastest time of the morning session.
The performance confirms Mercedes' status as a strong contender for the 2026 season, highlighting the team's pace and potential to rival its competitors.
