Evra reveals Ferguson's task to stop Messi

French footballer Patrik Evra has spoken about his illustrious career at Manchester United, revealing that Sir Alex Ferguson tasked him with stopping Lionel Messi.

In an interview with The Guardian, Evra recalled the challenge of facing Messi, describing it as extremely difficult.

'He (Ferguson) gave me the task of stopping Messi. It was very difficult because he's very fast and a great player,' Evra said.
