Emma Raducanu has withdrawn from the Qatar Open after struggling with her physical condition during her first-round match against Colombian Camila Osorio. The decision was made after the 23-year-old trailed 2-0 in the third set and called her coach to take her blood pressure.
This comes just two days after Raducanu's participation in the Transylvania Open final in Romania, where she lost to Sorana Cirstea. Raducanu had spoken about her physical struggles during that match, revealing she was battling a chest infection.
Raducanu started strongly in the Qatar Open, winning the first set 6-2. However, Osorio fought back to take the second set 6-4 and level the match. In the deciding set, Raducanu once again struggled with her physical condition and ultimately decided to pull out of the match.
Raducanu has been struggling with injuries and has not been able to produce consistent form on the WTA Tour since her US Open victory in 2021. In October, she withdrew from the Wuhan Open due to a medical issue, and in January, she parted ways with her coach Francis Roig.

Raducanu is currently working on regaining her fitness and preparing for future tournaments.
