Chelsea boss Sonia Bompastor remains confident in her team despite a tough week, which saw them fall 12 points behind Manchester City in the Women's Super League.

Bompastor said: 'I know who I am, I don't measure myself by outside criticism. I always try to give my best.'

Chelsea came from behind to beat Tottenham 2-0 and Bompastor praised her side after the match. 'We needed to win, we played our game and we won.'

The WSL title race is heating up and Chelsea are now focused on securing a Champions League spot.

She added: 'We can still achieve a lot, we need to improve our game.'
