Barcelona president unhappy with young player's move to PSG
Barcelona president Joan Laporta expressed displeasure with 18-year-old player Dro Fernandez's transfer to PSG, calling it 'unpleasant'.

Barcelona club president Joan Laporta has expressed his discontent with 18-year-old player Dro Fernandez's transfer to PSG, describing it as 'unpleasant'.
Fernandez joined Barcelona's La Masia academy in 2022 and has since played in five games. He moved to PSG for €8.2 million (£7.1m), which is higher than his £5.2m release clause.
In an interview with Catalunya Radio, Laporta said: 'This is an unpleasant situation. We had agreed on a different solution when he turned 18. But his representative told us he couldn't fulfill the agreed terms.'
Fernandez has signed a contract with PSG until 2030. He described the transfer as a 'great pride' and said PSG is a club he has been following 'since childhood'.
Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick said young players should look at the club with '100% heart' and loyalty. He described Fernandez's transfer as a 'mistake'.
In an Instagram post, Fernandez said: 'Barcelona has been my home club. I've had unforgettable experiences here.'
