Barcelona President Speaks on Julian Alvarez Transfer

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has spoken about the possibility of bringing Atletico Madrid and Argentina striker Julian Alvarez to the club.

"We have made an official offer for Julian and now it's up to Atletico to make a decision. Our offer is very good, but it's not indefinite," Laporta said.

Both Xavi and Deco want to see Julian at the club... But if Atletico doesn't agree, we will work on other options, - added Laporta.

According to him, the Catalans have a backup plan to strengthen their attack: "If Julian doesn't come, we have a Plan B. Deco hasn't stopped working, and several candidates are being considered, and he needs to choose the most suitable option for the club," Laporta's thoughts are quoted by journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano.

Recall that Julian Alvarez will play for the Argentina national team in the 2026 World Cup final against Spain.
